Michael Richards M.Div, MBA, LPCC, U.S. Consul (Ret.)
Michael was a foreign service officer, diplomat, and Consul serving in or managing programs in approximately 50 countries.
He is a licensed professional counselor, with 20 years crisis management and assessment experience.
About me:
Retired early from the U.S. foreign service where I served as consular officer, management analyst, economist, and Consul.
My stance against illegal programs, especially torture, landed me on the blacklist, subject to dirty tricks, nationalist hatred.
As a human rights defender, my goal is start an NGO/social enterprise to offer Consular services to world citizens and global organizations- and peer-to-peer support services for other human rights defenders.
I would like to offer my homes on the U.S. east coast (in Florida, Atlanta, and Baltimore) for use by HR Defenders who need training or respite, and am looking for a partner on the west coast, as well as in Geneva, Switzerland.
I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor, and want to offer support, peer-to-peer counseling, training to Human Rights Defenders (HRD), torture and trauma survivors. Together, we can develop a training and support system and program for other HRD’s and fellow world citizens, pilgrims, travelers, followers of Diogenes, the Greek philosopher, who was to first declare, “I am a citizen of the world”.
